Screenwriters

It’s time to get serious about the craft. Read scripts.

Seriously. Watching movies is for filmmakers.  Here are some places to start.:

American Film Scripts Online,  alexanderstreet.com/products/american-film-scripts ( You may have to access through a public or university library database)

Script – O – Rama,  www.script-o-rama.com/

And you could buy them:

If you don’t have the patience to read and study scripts, how the heck can you function on somebody’s writing staff? Or on a freelance assignment?

And while you’re at it, read great literature: poems, graphic novels, novels, magazine and journal articles. GIGO all the way, baby.
