Things I Like — Joy

I love stories with happy endings.

Joe Ruggeri, a wonderful filmmaking talent and business head, has just finished Joy through Red Love Films. Five years in the making, it demonstrates the focus and perseverance it takes to get something onto a screen.

“In this feature comedy, these sisters learn about love, loss, and redemption while on a trip to quite possibly the most magical grocery store. Joy is a magical reinterpretation of a true story and a gift from one sister to another.

Joy stars Julie Marie Hassett, Evan Boymel, Vince Jolivette, Bootsy Collins, Ann Randolph. Directed by Andrew Money. Produced by Red Love Film & 779 Ltd. Executive Produced by Frederic Holzberger. Shot on location at Jungle Jim’s International Market in Fairfield, OH.

You can buy the project here from Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/Joy/dp/B009DB9I8C/ and other retailers like Best Buy and Barnes & Noble http://alturl.com/mczmg.

I saw it in an early incarnation and it is completely charming and captivating. Anti-snark, pro unashamed feel good, smart, inventive comedy.

Check it out.
