Earlier this month AG Schneiderman was booted off a panel negotiating a deal between the states and the banks involved with the mortgage crisis. The New York Daily News reported that Schneiderman “voiced concerns over a proposed settlement between major banks and a coalition of federal and state officials over claims of foreclosure abuses. He has come under increasing pressure to approve the deal.”
Yesterday 21 Congresspeople from New York wrote a letter in support of Schneidermann.
Thank you AG.
I’m an underwater homeowner. I’m also someone who hates the way that officials and CEOs seem to increasingly be walking away from crimes.
I hope you’ll be able to turn the tide on this disastrous proposed deal between the banks and the attorneys general for the U.S. But hey, even slowing it down is beneficial.
And watch your back. They’re going to turn over every rock. If anything in your past or present is even vaguely questionable, confess. There are more people who don’t want to see these thieves skate than there are people who care who you slept with.
