Make It Right Foundation – post Katrina

A big shout out to the Make It Right Foundation, its founder Brad Pitt and the foundation’s board and Tom Darden led-staff.

Mr. Pitt.  Doing what you said you would do will amaze some and confound others.

To the entire Make It Right team, community and volunteers:  Congrats for staying the course and doing it the right way:   green, financial transparency, community involvement.  Way to go!

“Make It Right is Committed to
Making a Difference
More than 4,000 homes in New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. Two years later, when actor Brad Pitt toured the city, the neighborhood was still deserted and devastated. Pitt promised the families he met there, that he would help make it right. He founded Make It Right to build 150 affordable, green storm resistant homes for families living in the Lower 9th Ward when the storm hit.”
