Directing: I LOVE what I do

Director's Chair

Today I met individually with the actors in the one act I’m directing.  I had given them character dossiers earlier in the week before our first read through.  The individual meets were to solidify character arcs, to raise and answer questions.  The conversations were rich, fruitful and intense.  The actors appreciated the effort.

I LOVE what  I do.

I only wish we were able to work with full production values.  I’d love to do the same with the production design and lighting team.

I continue to be amazed at the power of doing a thorough job.  Love covers a multitude of sins.  Work ethic rules.
